Junction City High School hosted the Girls 6A State Tennis Tournament last Friday and Saturday at the Blue Jay Tennis Complex.
The Lady Jay tennis team traveled to Wichita South to compete in the 6A Regional tennis tournament this past Saturday.
The Lady Jay Tennis Team participated in the Topeka West Tennis Invite on Tuesday.
All Lady Jay players earned their way into the quarterfinals with first round wins.
The Lady Jay tennis team traveled to Salina on Thursday for the Salina South Varsity Tennis Invite. Eight teams participated in the event and all competitors were in the same singles and doubles flights creating 16 man brackets. The Lady Jays had two events finish in the top four.
The Lady Jay tennis team competed in their home quadrangular on Monday. Teams in the event included Junction City, Manhattan, Shawnee Mission East, and Shawnee Mission South. As a team, the Lady Jay tennis team lost by only a single match in each round, dropping each round 3-2.
The Lady Jay tennis team played in the Olathe Northwest Varsity Tennis Quadrangular on Thursday. The Lady Jay singles players had a perfect day as they went undefeated, with each going 3-0 against their opponents from Shawnee Mission West, Gardner Edgerton and Olathe Northwest.
