In the Scholars Bowl program at Junction City High School, students form teams and engage in spirited trivia competitions against other schools. These competitions typically involve quick-paced question-and-answer rounds where participants must rely on their breadth of knowledge and quick thinking to respond accurately.
Participating in Scholars Bowl at Junction City High School not only cultivates a passion for learning but also provides students with valuable experiences that can benefit them academically and beyond. Scholars Bowl promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, and effective communication skills, preparing students for future academic endeavors and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Mission/Purpose: To represent JCHS in academic competition in trivia format; to showcase knowledge of core school subjects and fine arts, languages, and current events.
Membership Requirements: Open to all students who meet KSHSAA Eligibility criteria. Participate in practices, attend and compete in tournaments, assist with hosting home tournament.
Dues: N/A
Activities/Projects: Practices 3 days weekly, Tournaments weekly or bi-weekly throughout the season, hosting a Home Tournament and 1 or 2 middle school tournaments.
Criteria to Earn Graduation Credit: All members are required to attend 80% of practices and compete in/assist with hosting a minimum of 3 tournaments.
