The Junction City High School Debate Program is a comprehensive extracurricular activity that fosters critical thinking, effective communication, and research skills among its participating students. It provides a platform for students to engage in structured debates on various topics, helping them develop the ability to formulate compelling arguments and articulate their viewpoints confidently.

The program participates in regional and state debate tournaments, where students compete against other schools. These tournaments provide an opportunity for students to showcase their debating skills, engage with peers from diverse backgrounds, and receive constructive feedback from experienced judges. Such competitions contribute to the personal growth and overall development of the students.
